Apply to work with Regional Career Networks

Apply to work with us on your region

This is a short application, about two minutes. I read it myself, then reach out to book an intro meeting where we look at your region's grants and partners together.

Any partner can start a Regional Career Network: a nonprofit, an educator, a company, or a support partner. If you care about your region and want to work with the other partners in it to win grants, you can apply now, before you have a grant in hand or every partner lined up.

What I'll do with this

I do the homework before we meet.

My name is Daniel Wierman. Before we meet, I map the opportunity in your area: the manufacturing base, the employers hiring, the schools with programs, and the grants in play for a region like yours. I read grant opportunities across the country every week, so by the time we talk I usually already know which ones fit.

That way our first meeting starts with what I have already learned about your region. We look at who you already have, what is missing, and which grants your region is positioned to win.

After we talk, the plan gets built out with your partners in it. The nonprofits, educators, companies, and support partners of your region each take a defined role and commit to it as an MOU partner: an organization that has committed in writing, through a Memorandum of Understanding, to what it will do for the grant. The partners doing funded work are attached to the Lead Applicant as contracted partners, each with a Scope of Work in the budget. Where a grant needs a Lead Applicant, the partner who submits and signs and through whom the funding flows, we work out together who that should be.

Then we write the grant narrative with you and your partners and go after the funding as one team. When you meet the partners around you, I come with you and explain the sector and the regional strategy to them.

Your application

Fill in the fields below and tell me about your region in a few sentences, in your own words.

So I know which region we are talking about.

If you came from a card on RCN Grant Watch, this is filled in for you.

We use your information only to set up your intro meeting.
